On Friday September 14th RCAD is hosting a beach party outside of the Colket Center. Enjoy beach volleyball, a water slide, elderberries smoothies, sand art, shell crafts and live music. There will also be a sand castle building competition; winner will receive two Timeflies tickets.

On Saturday September 15thCAB presents their fall concert with DJ duo, Timeflies.  Doors open at 7:00pm at Bast Gymnasium. Tickets can be purchased at the Colket Center info desk for twelve dollars with your maroon card, fifteen dollars with another valid college id, or eighteen dollars for general admission. You can also purchase tickets at http://rctimeflies.eventbrite.com.

The Roanoke College Office of Community Service, the Chaplin’s office, and Amnesty International will sponsor a dinner on Monday September 17th­ at 6:00pm in the Wortmann Ballroom. Enjoy a meal while you learn how you can help those facing hunger.

The American Red Cross Blood Drive will be on campus Thursday September 20th from 11am until 5pm in Bast Gymnasium. The drive is sponsored by Students Interested in Health Careers and the Alpha Epsilon Delta Honor Society. Appointments can be made online at www.redcrossblood.org and of course walk-in are welcome. The Red Cross needs our support and all blood types are needed. You do not need to know your blood type to donate blood. Please eat well and drink fluids prior to donating blood. Also on Thursday, Roanoke College will be hosting its bi-annual poster sale. Stop by the Colket Center on September 20th and 21st at 10am to purchase an array of posters for your dorm or apartment.

The Dixie Power Trio will be preforming on campus on Friday September 21st during FOTQ. RCAD is sponsored by Chi Omega this weekend. Join the Chi O’s in Wortmann Ballroom at 8pm for lip-syncing.

RC After Dark and the Honors Program will be screening The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo at 9pm in Pickle Lounge. The movie screening is a compliment to the Honors Program’s book club.

On Saturday September 22nd CAB Coffee House brings you Cory Campbell at 8pm in the Cavern. Enjoy a night of singing and guitar playing with complimentary coffee and other hot beverages.
