Roanoke lost in double overtime to Randolph- Macon on Saturday.  Roanoke record drops to 2-3 with this loss, 0-1 in ODAC play.

The two teams remained scoreless for much of the first half. It was ten seconds left until the half when Randolph- Macon scored the first point from Mitchell Surkamp, giving them a 1-0 lead.

The Maroons finally scored to tie the game up at 68:04 by Senior AJ Tierce. This goal is Tierce’s 3rd goal of the season. With goal the Maroons went into overtime.

The Maroons played all the way until the second overtime period when Randolph Macon‘s Andrew Oakes scored a long shot to score the final point and end the game.

The leaders for the Maroon’s are Tyler Carbough and Garret Eldrige who each had three shots on goals. Keeper Will Dooley played the entire game and made five saves.

The last game for Maroons was against North Carolina Wesleyan in Rocky Mount, NC on Tuesday the 18th.
