The Holiday season is arriving fast, and on November 27, Roanoke College students and staff shopped at the holiday craft fair located in the main atrium. Local artisans set up tables with samples of their merchandise around Colket’s Christmas tree. Shoppers flocked the tables starting at 10:30 am and people gathered on and off until about 2 p.m.
The craft fair was local crafters/small businesses products, making it easy for students or faculty to buy holiday gifts and support local economy. Hand made products available to customers included handmade woodworks, crafted wreaths, jewelry, and even homemade sweets.  Roanoke College’s own Lauren Reckling ’14 set up a table with merchandise form her business, All That Glitters. Her products are handmade, bargain jewelry. A few of the local stores with tables were Stella and Dot, local Jewelry store, Jacs Sacs, Handmade bags/wallets, and Woodworking by Beth Fox.
The holiday craft fair allowed for students and staff to start their holiday gift buying and to simply enjoy the crafts of the season.
