The indoor track team has had an excellent season running their way all over the competition. Members of the women’s sprinting squad and the distance team have been putting up personal records all season long as a whole.

The women’s team, who is doing very well across all areas and even placing 7th in the nation for the 400m relay, has had 3 different runners win athlete of the week for 3 of the past 5 weeks.

Carmen Graves ’13, was the first runner to win ODAC athlete of the week in early December for her efforts in the 800 meters. Following her strong performance in December, Carmen won the award again for placing the seasons 2nd fastest time in the 800m for all of Division III.

Jessica Mejia ’15, earned the ODAC award 2 weeks later with outstanding races in the 200m and the 4x400m relay. Jessica finished first among all athletes and posted at the time an ODAC 2nd fastest time in the 200m and finished the night with a personal record in her leg of the 4×4 relay.

Last but not least is Lexie Janney ’16, who won the award last week by winning both of her events, the 60m and the 200m. She also was part of the 4x400m relay that took first in the meet. Janney’s effort in the 200m set a new ODAC record with a time of 26.75.
