While most students were traveling back home over spring break, a small group of students travelled to Williamsburg, Virginia to compete in an Ultimate Frisbee tournament. The team, Good Looks, is led by President David Norquist, a junior at Roanoke College. The team has been around for ten years and is growing with membership each year. The team is open to both girls and boys and the sport of Ultimate Freebie could not be simpler to play.
The game is a cross between football and soccer and very easy to pick up and join. The goal of the game is to pass the freebie to other members on the field without dropping the disk. If a team passes the freebie up the field to the end zone without a drop disked then a point is scored. First to fifteen points win with a short break at 8 for halftime. Currently, the team is preforming better than previous years with some impressive numbers such us last tournament, where they beat VCU 15-4.
As mentioned before everybody of all athletic types are welcomed to join. Come by the fields at Elizabeth Campus Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays 4:30- 6:00, or contact David Norquist at email@example.com.
