For those of you who haven’t seen “Bones”, Dr. Temperance Brennen, played by Emily Deschanel, is a forensics scientist who works at the Jeffersonian in Washington DC. With her partner Agent Seely Booth, played by David Boreanaz, they solve murder mysteries. However, the pair have dealt with a lot of sexual tension in the past. Brennan is a complex individual whose IQ makes her socially awkward while Booth is much more open both physically and socially. In previous seasons, they discovered opposites attract and got married last season.
The show left off in Season 7 with the happily married couple who had a newborn daughter, but a long-time hacker under their radar managed to tamper with evidence that pointed to Brennan as the criminal in question. With the help of her team at the Jeffersonian, they attempt to uncover the truth. On the other hand, Brennan’s father advises her to make a run for it, and she does. Booth is left standing alone on the curb without his wife and daughter at the end of the season.
Warning: the following paragraph contains spoilers. In the new episode, we see Brennan back with Booth inside a hotel while Booth continues to try and figure out what the hacker’s hiding. Being Brennen, she tries to solve the mystery herself while still being a renegade in a blonde wig. Her actions may do more harm than good however, because the FBI finds her signature handiwork at a murder site and the agents want to take her in.
In summary, the season premiere answers all of the questions long awaited for by Bones’ fans. According to Hulu, the series holds a rating of 4 stars. Watch Season 8 of “Bones” every Monday at 8 PM on FOX.
