Cross Country

The cross country season got off to a good start at the Eastern Mennonite University Invitational. Runners from both the men’s and women’s squads did well in the preview meet for ODAC.

Overall, the men’s team took second place with a final score of 82 points. Last year’s ODAC runner of the year Tim Smith, finished in first place individually with a time of 27:41. Harrison Toney took fifth place individually with a time of 29:33. Austin Grubb, Pat Kohlhaas and Cody Meadows also scored points for the Maroons.

The Lady Maroons finished in fifth place as a team with a score of 134 points. Grace England finished in 3rd place individually running a time of 25:12. Leigha Schimmoeller finished second for the Maroons and 23rd overall running a time of 27:53. Melissa Bauerle, Anna Noble and Hannah Cline rounded out the scoring positions for the Maroons.

The Maroons run again this Saturday, September 22nd, for the Maroon Invitational. The meet starts at 10:00am at Mowles Spring Park.
