The Roanoke College women’s soccer team has had a great start to their season within the ODAC conference, going 3-0 until this Saturday, September 29, when they lost to Bridgewater College 2-0.

The Roanoke women played their first ODAC game against Guilford College, winning 6-1. Stephanie Parenteau had a hat trick, scoring three goals in one game during this victory. The other three goals were scored by Carmen Graves (2) and Lauren O’Brien (1).

The second ODAC victory came against Shenandoah College in a 2-0 victory. Rebekah Adams scored both of these goals, one in the first half and one in the second half.

The women’s team got its third ODAC victory in a 4-0 win over Randolph College on September 26. The four goals were scored by Stephanie Parenteau (1), Carmen Graves (2) and Rebekah Adams (1). Parenteau was involved in all four of the goals, receiving 3 assists from the goals by Graves and Adams.

In the last ODAC victory the Maroons won 6-1 against Eastern Mennonite University. Rebekah Adams scored the first three goals within 5 minutes of each other from 17:46 to 21:01. The other goals were scored by Carmen Graves (1), Stephanie Parenteau (1) and Sarah Valero.

After the first conference loss to Bridgewater College the Roanoke College women’s team has an overall record of 6 wins, 3 losses and 1 tie. Their ODAC record stands at 4 wins and only 1 loss. They look to add another win to their ODAC record this Wednesday, October 3rd against Washington and Lee.
