Roanoke’s men’s tennis went one for three this week in ODAC play, defeating Randolph College on the 5th, losing to Virginia Wesleyan on the 6th, and then dropping the match against Emory & Henry on the 10th. The Maroons beat Randolph by a score of 8-1. In doubles play, James Lee and Matt Kessler defeated their opponents 8-1, Chris Migliarese and Jacob Morris won a close game by a score of 9-7, and Ian Webester and Lewis Young won their match 8-0. Matt Kessler, James Lee, Chris Migliarese, and Jacob Morris all contributed with wins in singles action.

The following day the Maroons lost to Virginia Wesleyan by a score of 7-2, with their only wins coming in singles games played by James Lee and Jacob Morris. The Maroons went on to lose another ODAC game against Emory & Henry on Wednesday, losing 8-1. James Lee earned the Maroon’s only win defeating James Keighley in singles action. James Lee, a senior, was named ODAC Men’s Tennis Player of the Week prior to his win in the Emory & Henry match.

After these past three games, the Maroons have a record of 9-5 and 5-3 in ODAC play. The Maroons will take on Guilford College on Friday the 12th. The match is scheduled to start at 2:30 PM and will be held at the tennis courts on Elizabeth Campus.
