Alpha Kappa Psi: Making a Difference Yet Again By Will Lucas
Early in the semester, the Brackety-Ack reviewed a huge event put on by Roanoke College’s professional business fraternity, The What Not to Wear Event. This event presented in a clever way the appropriate attire for interview wear.
President Ashby McGarry’s goal of “creating a positive presence on the campus” is certainly starting to take place. They have received great recognition from much of the business department and received a highlight in the business department newsletter.
However, that event was not the only thing they have been up to. Now they are planning to participate in the events of this upcoming Alumni Weekend.
On Saturday, the 12th starting at 2:30, Alpha Kappa Psi will be hosting a table in West Hall to support alumni brothers of the chapter.
McGarry’s current and admirable goal is, as she stated, that “we are working on building our alumni relations; we will be reaching out to our alumni to build a better bond for the future.” Hopefully, they will have a great turnout at their table and will foster new bonds with old alumni.
Alpha Kappa Psi has been working diligently this semester to achieve better campus recognition by creating amazing events and gatherings.
McGarry wants to enhance the brotherhood, and with the help of her executive board, brothers, and the pledges, she will be able to make a change for Roanoke College and the fraternity.
Roanoke College has seen an amazing comeback from Alpha Kappa Psi and is certainly looking forward to what they have in store for years to follow. This has been an excellent start for them to get recognized.
Thank you Alpha Kappa Psi and thank you Ashby!
