Sean Guida, a sophomore Business Administration major, is an outfielder on the baseball team. He had an amazing week at bat for the Maroons, hitting 7 of 14 with at least one RBI in each game. His most outstanding performance was in the two game series against sixth-ranked Shenandoah University where the Maroons won 14-3 and 6-2. In the first game he went 5 for 6 with 5 RBI and scoring three runs. In the second game he notched one run and one RBI. At the time, he had been batting an impressive .410 this season with 10 runs scored at 11 RBI.
Mary Kelly, senior, earned the honor for her performance at the Coach O Coastal Carolina Invitational. She competed in three throwing competitions, the javelin, discus, and the hammer. Her javelin throw, which reached 39.91 meters, was just short of the ODAC record, but earned her third overall. In the discus she threw 28.62 meters and the hammer was 34.07 meters.
Cam Thompson, junior, also was awarded for his standings after the Coastal Carolina Invitational. In the 100 meter dash, he finished with a time of 10.98. This earned him seventh overall, but he was first among DIII players. He finished 15th overall in the 200 meter dash, posting a time of 22.20.
Will Pilat, senior, notched 14 points last week. The 11th ranked Maroons went 3-0 defeating Colorado College 12-7, Wittenberg University 16-10, and Randolph-Macon College 18-5.
